Hi,

We had a fun week in kindergarten this week. We went to see a live play at Northbrook called "Alladin". It was the first timemany of the children saw a story  saw live theatre. Ask them about the story and what happened in the beginning, middle and the end.

Today we had a nurse from Luthern General hospital come and talk to the children about bike safety. A handout is going home today if you would like your child to be fitted properly for a bike helment. You may also purchase one for a 10.00 charge at the hospital.

Our April journals are going home today. Please review them with your child and have them write every night at home.

        April was National Children’s Poetry Month.  We are so lucky to have a terrific library teacher like Ms. Thorstenson!!  She came to our classroom on Thursday afternoon to do a poetry study with us.  The children were introduced to different forms of poetry and even tried writing some poems of their own.
