The Holiday Unit encourages the arts of sharing and giving. The holiday theme involves understanding and appreciating each others' holiday traditions.

Reading / Writing Workshop

We began reading stories of the Gingerbread Man. We will compare and contrast a number of different authors based on the original fairy tale of the Gingerbread Man. We are discussing each author's style and technique in terms of plot, setting and solution. Our approach will include use of story map and Venn diagram as components in teaching reading strategies.
