NEWS FROM ROOM 205
Nov. 20, 2007
Dear Families:
Our room at Todd Hall is very busy. We continue to work on our letter sounds, identifying letters and writing letters. We are working on the letters A-T-P-N-S-I-K-C. We hope that you have had a chance to look through the "home work" packets that were sent home earlier this week. It may be helpful to have a set time each day, (before dinner or after dinner) that you sit down with your child and work on homework.
We are also talking about Thanksgiving and how we are thankful. We learned about the Pilgrims and the Native Americans, what they planted and hunted and how they ate dinner together. We also had a feast in our room. We ate Turkey with stuffing, macaroni and cheese, rolls, green beans and desserts. Everyone enjoyed.
In gym we have been working with hoops and learning how to bowl. During computer lab, we have worked with a new program called KidPix. Everyone loves this.
We have O.T. with Ms. Helen: we made a large tree by tearing and gluing the pieces onto the tree. We also made a beautiful turkey out of Styrofoam shapes and inserted multicolored feathers; our turkey is something to see.
Ms. Marley has us learning about turkeys and farmers in music. We are also learning to play different instruments. In library Ms. T. is reading to us about Thanksgiving and the many things we could be thankful for.
We want to wish you and all those people who touch your lives a very Happy Thanksgiving.
Enjoy the long weekend, see you Monday 11/26/07.
Ms. Kathi, Mrs. J. and Ms. Anita
