Exclusion date October 15

Hello parents Believe it or not we have been in school 6 weeks and this is the 1st chance I’ve had to post a message on my blog. Keeping the students records in order and the school compliant with state law certainly keeps me busy.  I’ve done my best with letters home and reminder phone calls and this message will be the last reminder to get the papers in that I need.  The exclusion date is October 15th and is mandated by the state of Illinois. This is taken very seriously and followed very closely. As for the vision exam that is required. Any child who does not have their eye exam in will not be excluded from school, however, your child will not be able to receive his/her report card until we receive the eye exam report. Also, please be advised that since the law requires all kindergarten students to be examined by a doctor, they will not be receiving a vision screening.  The lead questionnaire and or blood test, if needed, is also part of the physical. If this is not on file it is cause for exclusion.  If you don’t know if your child’s records are complete, call me. If you know they are not complete, then get me the records immediately.  As always you can stop by or call me: 847-745-3732 Sincerely,Nurse Donna
