Bus Dismissal Procedures

Many parents have asked why their Todd student(s) are not able to sit with their older Rutledge Hall siblings on the bus. Dr. Weiss, Ms. McElligatt, and the bus company representatives and drivers have agreed upon the following procedures to faciliate the buses running on time:

Rutledge dismisses first and the Rutledge staff seat students from rear of bus up to the middle of the bus. The buses go to Todd. Todd students dismiss at 2:50-2:55.

The Todd teacher on bus duty walks students to their bus.
The teacher gets on bus (bus driver stands outside of bus supervising kids in line and getting onto bus.)
The teacher walks to the middle of the bus (up to where Rutledge kids are seated) and seats Todd students, two to a seat-- filling up the bus from middle to front.
Seatbelts are checked. The buses depart.

Please Note: Rutledge and Todd siblings are not able to sit together with this plan but it facilitates the speedy (I use this term loosely) seating of students and ensures the bus routes run on time! After the Todd/Rutledge run, the buses go to Lincoln Hall for their dismissal.
