News you can use!

Good morning! My name is Ms. Knowles and I am your child's new first grade teacher! I have already sent out a letter so you could get to know me and I hope to set up a parent night in the next week. I will include a new schedule of what we usually accomplish on a day to day basis. Things are coming along slowly so you will have to forgive me! Please feel free to email me or leave me a message. My goal is by next week to have the classroom completely organized and be on more of a set schedule. Students will be bringing home more homework by next week also.

This week, I have gotten to know the students pretty well. We have dived into math, phonics, science, and reading. I really enjoy spending time in the morning having group time to do calendar and graphing.

Our star student of the week was Adrian. Stay tuned at who will be the next star student.

My favorite part of this week was the smiles on everyone's faces when they came back the second day to find me waiting for them.
