Farewell PreK!

June 5, 2008

A fond farewell to all of our super Pre-K families! It has been an enriching and rewarding experience getting to know you and your child. Our days together are over, but our memories will last…at least until 2nd grade! While we’ve learned many things during our time together, none are more important than those social skills that will assist us throughout a lifetime. We are better sharers, turn takers, cooperators, listeners and problem solvers. We’ve discovered what it takes to be a friend, as well as have a friend. Most importantly, we’ve learned to trust ourselves and our school environment. Everyone is more confident and self assured than they were in August. That’s accomplishing a lot, don’t you think?

Please know that our doors are always open and we welcome visits from our “alumni” and their families. Don’t be a stranger. Have a fun filled and safe summer. See you at the pool or on the baseball fields!

SUMMER ACTIVITY SUGGESTIONS: The library is offering FREE “Stories and More” (Tues. mornings, June 10-29, 10-11:15) and “Playtime at the Library” (Wed. June 4-Aug. 27, 10-11:30), as well as a summer long reading programs for everyone. These are great ways to meet other children, keep on top of their skills and enjoy the community offerings. Try it…you might like it.
