Whispers of Summer!
May 30, 2008Â
Dear Loved Ones of Room 403,
The countdown has begun! Â There are just 6 more days left of the 2007-2008 school year! Â Â I have already enjoyed listening to all the summer adventures that await the little ones. Â Some will be traveling cross country while others will be traveling across the ocean. Â The remaining students, as well as myself, will have summer days full of learning opportunities, swimming pool fun, and yummy bar-b-ques! Â I am looking forward to plenty of reading. Â I already have a shelf full of reading materials that I can't wait to get my hands on.
On Wednesday we had our final kindergarten field trip to Lincoln Park Zoo. Â Wow! We had such a beautiful day. Â Without the help of our parent volunteers our field trip would not have been such a success. Â I would like to formally express my deepest appreciation to the those who were able to share in this experience with us. Â Amongst the chaperones who were chosen, I would also like to give a big, "THANK YOU!" to all who were willing to volunteer!
Our final day of school will be on Monday, June 9th. Â I am looking to this day with many mixed emotions. Â Words seem to escape me as I try to describe the ways in which I feel as I look towards this significant day. Â This day will undoubtedly be a poignant one. Â
Report cards will be sent home with your child on June 9th. Â If, for some reason, your child is not in attendance on this day, Â his/her report card will be mailed to your home. Â Needless to say, I think you will be enormously proud of your child, as I am.
 Have a wonderful weekend!
Very Sincerely,
Miss Sarah E. MunoÂ
