Dear Parents,

Everyone in our class was experiencing a little bit of spring fever this week.  The weather seems to be changing, but keep in mind we will go out for recess once or twice a day so please send your child with appropriate clothing.

In the area of reading we have been working on the skill of, 'wondering.'  The boys and girls are learning how to comprehend stories by creating wondering statements.  The story Brave Bear was a favorite from this week.  Keep reading to your child at home, this is one of the best ways for your child to become a reader.

Math has focused on number families.  This skill can be very challenging at first, but once your child understands the concept it will help with addition and subtraction facts.

This week we also talked about where everyone in the class lives and how important it is for each child to know their home address.  If your child does not know their address please help them learn it.
