Top Ten for the Week of February 22nd to 25th

We had another great week of learning and playing together! Here are some of the highlights:

1. Literacy Stations: We worked on handwriting, writing numbers, blending the sounds in words, reading, and phonics games on the computer.

2. Phonics: We worked on breaking words up into the onset and rime (c-ake), and played a board game to practice. We also practiced changing the first letter of a word to make a new one.

3. Making Meaning: We read the story White Rabbit's Color Book and continued to practice the skill of visualizing. Visualizing helps children to understand and connect mental images to something that is read or heard.
