1. Ginger Zee was worth the wait! The kids really enjoyed her visit and she is going to let us know when our pictures will be on TV!
2. We were excited the weather held out for our picnic! What a great time we had at Proesel Park.
3. We took the final math and reading tests of the year this week.

Top Ten for Week of May 10th

Top Ten for Week of May 10th:
1. Mayor Turry's visit was great. The kids were great listeners and loved the "Key to the City". Thanks again Mayor Turry!
2. We were disappointed again when Ginger Zee had to cancel. She is still chasing storms with the Discovery Channel. However, we have scheduled her again for the 18th and she has promised to bring great footage of the storms. Third time is a charm, right?!
3. I was so impressed and proud of the kids and how great their behavior was today. I lost my voice and they were very respectful of this and earned an extra recess outside.
4. We introduced plurals this week and are working all the new rules for plurals.

Top Ten for Week of May 3rd

Top Ten for Week of May 3rd:
Wow! What an action packed week we had! Read on to hear about all the fun we had!
Monday: We enjoyed the All School Study on China. The entertainment and activities were wonderful. We were very proud of Justin leading the dragon parade at the All School Assembly!

Tuesday: Ms. Pappas' class came over to listen to the story "Mayor LaRue" for our study about the role of a mayor.

Wednesday: Although we were very disappointed that Ginger Zee had to cancel, we are excited that she is rescheduled for a visit on May 12th. We have great questions and beautiful weather drawings ready for her. (She had to cancel because she wasn't able to leave the filming of Storm Trackers!)
