Written by our student teacher Ms. A:
.) Math: We are working on measuring perimeter. This week, we measured the perimeter of different-sized boxes.

.) Science: We finished up Chapter 2 in our study of the Sun, Moon, and Stars. On Tuesday, we will begin Chapter 3.
.) In “Making Meaning” our focus is still on wondering and questioning as we listen to stories. This week, we read “The Tale of Peter Rabbit”.
.) The “Daily Café”: The new strategy this week was “Tune in to interesting words”, which helps us expand our vocabulary in speaking and writing.
.) Phonics: Just like last week, our focus is still on the “wh/th” word pattern.
.) On Friday, we were introduced to a new computer game called “Scratch”. We had so much fun as we watched our teacher show us how to play it.
.) We earned a Terrific Todd Ticket from Mrs. Remiyac for showing great indpdendent working during Daily 5 time!!!
.) In music, Dr. Jermihov had us study three new composers: Ludwig Van Beethoven, Johann Sebastian Bach and Johannes Brahms.
