Top Ten for Week of March 2nd
Top Ten for Week of March 2nd:
1. We have 21 detectives in the classroom! We are fully into our Mystery Unit and are having a lot of fun!
2. I have a mystery bag in the display case and the "detectives" have to figure out what's inside. It will change weekly, so be sure to ask the kids what was in it!
3. The kids are now word detectives too. They are using their detective skills to look up guide words, definitions, etc in the dictionary.
4. We are working on measurement in math. Please review measuring inches and centimeters at home.
5. Remember mystery book report projects are due on March 16th . If you finish the project before then, feel free to send it in.
6. We have been working on nouns and verbs to help our writing.
7. The sound field trip is coming up and permission slips and money need to be turned in by Friday the 5th! This is an in school field trip so we do not need chaperones.
8. The class continues to have a hard time listening. Mrs. Shankar had to talk to the class about their behavior. Please talk to your kids about what it means to be a good listener.
9. The Rah, Rah party is tomorrow and I have 8 kids who didn't qualify. Please remember to sign the reading logs and turn them in every Friday or at the end of the month.
10. We will take the test on continent, country, city and state Friday and next week we will take a quick test on map skills.
