Top Ten for Week of February 1st

Top Ten for Week of February 1st:
1. Monday is the Rah, Rah Party and the 100th Day of School. Can you believe a 100 days of school have passed already?!
2. Our Valentine's Day party will be on the 12th from 11:00 to 11:55. (After the Fairy Tale Ball)
3. Fairy Tale Ball - Friday Feb. 12th at 10:30 am in Multi-purpose room. Looking forward to seeing the costumes!
4. We have been learning about George Washington this week. Ask your child to share a fact that they have learned about him.
5. The kids did a great job reading to Mrs. Savage's class. Thanks for practicing the stories at home - it paid off!
6. Our Sound and Light Unit has kicked off. We will be doing our first experiment on Friday.
7. The spelling sorts are starting to get harder. Please make sure you go over the sorts with your child so that they understand the spelling pattern.
8. Please remind your child about being good listeners. We continue to have problems with talking and not following directions!
9. We take our first Reading Test of 3rd quarter on Friday. We have changed the format to make it look like the ISAT test that they will take in 3rd grade.
10. Our reading skill next week is ai/ay.
