Welcome Back!

Dear Parents,

I want to take this time to introduce myself.  My name is Jennifer Savage.  I will be your child’s teacher this year.  I have been a teacher for 15 years.  I started teaching fourth grade in this district, then moved to second grade and this is my second year teaching kindergarten.  I absolutely love making the change to kindergarten.  This is my 12th year teaching in the Lincolnwood School District.  I am looking forward to many more years!
I have been married for five years.  We have a 4-year-old son, Michael, a 2-year-old daughter, Megan, and a 5-year-old Yellow Lab, Indy and a 1-year-old Tabby Cat, Pumpkin.  We are enjoying being parents and are having fun watching our children grow.  Some of my interests include sports, traveling, and spending time with my family and friends.

News For The Week of September 1st - 5th

Dear Parents,

We have been working hard in another week of Kindergarten. We have been working with our names this week. We worked on different projects drawing ourselves and learning about our friends. In math we worked on graphing the number of boys and girls in our class, counting forwards and backwards, and identified different shapes and colors. We read many stories about school. The students drew a picture of what their favorite thing to do in school.
We had many practice stations this week. We had a bus evacuation drill and we learned the expectations of how to act in and around the school. We focused on our 3 traits: Be Safe, Be Responsible, and Be Respectful. Talk with your children about the importance of practicing these kinds of drills. We had an all school meeting to discuss these 3 traits. We are all working hard at our behavior expectations here at Todd Hall so we can have a safe school.
