Dear Parents,

What a great week we had in kindergarten this week. The children are learning the rules and routines for school. This week was the first time they had library and computer lab. The children will be able to check a book September 18th for the first time. 

In my blog last week I put our class schedule. It had been changed. Please go back to the blog and see the change. We now have gym class on Tuesdays and not on Monday. This change had to made because of our Monday afternoon early release day. 

We had a school pictures taken this week. The children all looked so nice!

We had a  bus evacuation drill this week. The bus driver, principal and Lincolnwood police also joined us during this time. The children were given directions on what to do in case of an emergency on the bus.

Our first week of kindergarten was great! 

Here is our class schedule:

Tuesday: Music 1:00-1:30 , Gym-1:30-2:00 

Wednesday: Music 1:30-2:00, Gym- 2:00-2:30

Thursday: Library 1:30-2:00, Computer- 2:00-2:30

Friday: Gym I:30-2:00 

Please make sure your child has gym shoes on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.

  Every Thursday, your child will need to return the book they checked out  in the library order to check out a new book for the following week. The check out will start September 18th for your child.

 I look forward to meeting you and your child on August 26 in room 201!

You and your child will be able to look around the classroom and meet their new friends. I will check their supplies in and answer any questions you or your child might have.

I am confident that we will have a wonderful year ahead!
